Turkish-born designer Gurhan Orhan has been a pioneer in the revival of the use of 24 carat gold in contemporary jewellery. He restored antique pocket watches while living in Switzerland, exhibiting these reworked objects d’art in numerous exhibitions. He started designing gold jewellery at the age of forty, and through his research into ancient techniques of goldsmithing developed his signature designs. He has recently introduced pure platinum and pure silver collections.
He and his partner Fiona have based their business GURHAN in Manhattan.
Talsiman Gallery sells a hand-picked selection from the large Gurhan Collection.
