GURMIT jewellery exclusive to Talisman Gallery Harvey Nichols

I’ve known the talented and glamorous Gurmit Campbell since her New York modelling days; back in London after training as a sculptor, she is now designing exquisite jewellery.

I’m fascinated by jewellery designed by artists and architects; what they bring is an understanding of space and movement, the plasticity of materials and form. Many of the jewellery designers whose work I sell have also been trained in either sculpture or architecture.

Gurmit’s singular and unique creations are an expression of her cultural heritage, growing up in a family of Punjabi heritage in Singapore. Her personal story is dramatic and bold; eloping at a very young age with renowned Belgian sculptor Olivier Strebelle to escape an arranged marriage. She began her creative journey making sculpture before finding her specialism, which she calls ‘micro sculptures’, and jewellery.
